VINCI Energies has worked with its partner DC Brain to design the first collective electricity self-consumption project. VINCI Energies rolled out the network, called “SmartMagne”, in the town of Marmagne in central France as a “sustainable city industrial demonstrator” (recognised by the French Ministry of Ecology and Housing), according to Arnaud Banner, Technical Director at VINCI Energies brand Omexom. It is based on an artificial intelligence solution, developed by DC Brain, that optimises network flows and more specifically electricity grid flows as in Marmagne. Other AI projects are on the drawing board, notably a hydroelectric dam in Africa, say Arnaud Banner and Arnaud de Moissac, the CEO of DC Brain.
