According to the European Association for Electromobility (AVERE), as of 1 May 2021 there are almost 452,000 electric vehicle recharging points across France. The target for 2030 is seven million.
Currently, 90% of electric vehicle charging takes place at home or at work, but the Smart Building Alliance is examining the interoperability between buildings and electric vehicles.
One of the Alliance’s proposals is to create a “reference framework dedicated to mobility – R2S 4 Mobility – to enable buildings to provide all services necessary to electromobility” and new regulatory and economic models that facilitate energy distribution from the power grid to the electric vehicle – and vice versa.
