In a recently published report on housing, French think tank Terra Nova looked not only at construction and built structures but also at the way we will be living 20 years from now. The VINCI Group’s Fabrique de la Cité (City Factory) think tank took part in the forward-looking research, which covered such topics as redefined family life, aging population, changes in work, expanding mobility and the advent of the sharing economy. Four scenarios for the future were developed: “metropolitan concentration”, “urban saturation”, “the sharing revolution” and “the network of urban areas”.
