In a third successive year of growth for the sector, 2,750 green tech firms were listed in France in 2023, according to a recent report published by Bpifrance. These companies raised a combined €2.78 billion in 2023, with priorities including water, biodiversity, new materials, and electric mobility. Industrial green tech firms represent 42% of this market. In Europe, France is second only to Britain in terms of risk capital investment in green tech.
