Machine learning and computer vision boosting urban renovation

In the 2010s, with New York as the example, big data gained credibility as a tool for implementing public services. Advances in machine learning mean that extremely deep data analysis is now possible. A computer vision project created by two researchers from Stanford University (California) and the University of Notre Dame (Indiana) shows that it is possible to monitor the degradation of urban spaces using images from Google Street View.
