The renowned Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) publishes an annual list of the 10 technology advances it thinks will shape the way we work and live now and for years to come. In 2018, it notably singled out a new use of artificial intelligence that will give machines imagination, a pilot plant in Texas attempting to create completely clean power from natural gas, and a 3D metal printing method for creating stainless-steel parts twice as strong as traditionally made ones.
